Buddha was born some 2500 years ago in Lumbini in the southern Nepal.Lumbini is the greatest pilgrimmage site for all the Buddhists from all over the world.Lumbini today houses the pond where Buddha was bathed after he was born and a temple which has images of young Buddha with his mother.There is also a Stone pillar which is one of such many pillars put by the famous Indian emperor Ashoka to mark the important sites related to Buddha’s life.In an excavation made few years ago more objets of historical importance were discovered whichare in display for all. Besides there are many stupas in Lumbini made by many Buddhist countries of the world—Thailand, China , Sri Lanka, Japan and Myanmar.
Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour, There are Buddhists all over Nepal and hence Buddhist monuments are all over Nepal.In Kathmandu valley we have 2000 years old impressive stupa of Swoyambhunath and world’s biggest stupa at Bouddhanath.The Bouddhanath stupa is 1500 years old and is more popular among the many Tibetan refugees living in Kathmandu .Inside the Kathmandu valley the city of Patan is dominantly Buddhists and has places like Mahabouddha Temple and Hiranya Varna Mahavihar to show you.On the outskirt of Kathmandu in the hill is the stupa of Namobuddha, small but old, active and highly revered.
This Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour  will take you to these Buddhist sites and also to few more while travelling inside the city .We will also take you to the peaceful and beautiful lake city of Pokhara. Here you can see the tremendous view of the Himalayas , vist the world peace stupa and go for boating in the cool lake water.Finally you will have free time to shop a great number of Buddhist objects which you may not find in your home country.

Day 01:

Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Day 02:

Sightseeing tour of Swoyambhunath stupa and Patan Durbar square.In Patan we show you Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Mahabouddha temple and other Buddhist sites.

Day 03:

Sightseeing Bouddhanath stupa and then drive to Dhulikhel. Overnight.

Day 04:

Hike or drive to Namobuddha stupa, drive back to Kathmandu,overnight in Kathmandu hotel.

Day 05:

Morning Flight to Lumbini, Lord Buddha's birthplace.Visit Lumbini garden, Mayadevi temple, and other archeological sites.

Day 06:

Drive to Pokhara, overnight in Pokhara.

Day 07:

Relax and enjoy the serenity of beautiful lake city of Pokhara. Visit Sarangkot mountain view point in the morning, boating in the lake in the afternoon and enjoy little hike to World Peace Stupa. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 08:

Fly to Kathmandu. Free time for walking around and shopping, specially Buddhist religious objects of Nepal and Tibet. Overnight

Day 09:

Transfer to airport for departure. End of Service.

     Do I need previous hiking experience required to go on a trek? If you are physically fit and have extra Exercise enough enthusiasm for the trip previous experience is not required.Could I trek without a guide? You could, the area is very safe and in most cases navigation is relatively easy-however with a guide you will get more out of the experience. Having someone with you that knows the local customs and language helps you interact with people you meet in remote villages, and shows that you respect their culture.What will happen if I get sick on the trek? Either you will get better, or if it seems serious we will evacuate you with Helicopter and will be taken to Hospital in Kathmandu where you’ll get excellent attention. Our crew is well versed in medical and emergency care and carry a reasonably comprehensive first aid kit.What will happen if I get injured? If it is serious (this has never happened). You will again be taken care by our staff. If evacuation is required, this will be arranged by Visit Nepal tour. If you haven't already tried Dal Bhat you are in for a treat - there is nothing better to fill that trekking appetite. Dal Bhat is the signature Nepali dish - rice and lentil soup served with two types of curried vegetables and pickles. It is on the menu in every tea-house on the trek. A nice breakfast specialty you might also want to try is Tibetan Gurung bread with honey. The mountain tea houses will also serve up more familiar western dishes like pizza, or muesli for the morningIs there a problem with altitude sickness? For our tours/treks below 4000m, there is little likelihood of being subject to altitude sickness, unless you are taking one of our more extreme adventure tours. Kathmandu rests at an altitude of only 1350-m (4430ft) and at this altitude there is no likelihood of altitude related sickness.We’ll be advising you well in advance if altitude is an issue. Our tours/treks above 4000m do require acclimatization periods and any of our tours needing acclimatization has it built into the itinerary and that comes from 13 years of experience and the best medical advice...
