    Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m) and Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

    Your trek starts with this very exciting 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. From here the trek leads for about 3 hours to reach Phakding. The path windward via several forest areas and follows the Dudh Koshi River.

  • day 2

    Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

    Gradually gaining altitude, trek for about 6 hours up to Namche Bazaar. Various suspension bridges and beautiful pine forests come along the ascent. Namche Bazaar is the heart of the Khumbu region and thus is an important acclimatization stop.

  • day 3

    Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

    This day is to be spent at altitude aclimatization. Hike to the Everest View Hotel for spectacular views of Mt Everest along the neighboring peaks. Explore the local market and visit the Sherpa museum, through which one gets insight into the mountaineering past of the region.

    Namche to Khumjung (3,790m) and Return to Namche

    Hike to Khumjung Village, which is famous for its array of beautiful monasteries and impressive views. At 3,790m, the views will be spectacular as you visit the Hillary School and local monasteries before returning to Namche for the night.

    Namche to Lukla (2,840m)
