How to Become a Guide in Nepal
To become a tour guide in Nepal the candidate must be passed Bachelors degree in Tourism. You will get 3 months training in NATHM which will provide application for required applicants. In these 3 months you will be able to guide a tourist in easy and comfortable way. You will get knowledge about every historical and ancient story of Nepal. In this training you will get knowledge that how to treat tourist with courtesy, respect and patients. You must be good communicable with tourist. You must have good eye contact and good smile on face. After training have to pass the exam to become licensed tour guide. After passing both exam you may join the tourism company or if you are interested you can become freelancer. To become a best tour guide you must make your clients to feel comfortable with you. You should be more friendly with their tourists. You should have good information about history, culture, architectures and people.
To become a trekking guide, you should pass in 10 or +2. If you have pass grade 10 you need do training for 1 month. For candidate who pass +2 you should you should have experience of 2 years in trekking. In 1 month training you will get knowledge about mountains and best trekking training. For trekking any stream in any bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience in Tourism field. You should know how to give first Aid in trekking area. You should be familiar with trekking area people and knowledge about their culture and tradition.
